If you have a disability or other barriers to employment, Goodwill is dedicated to providing the opportunity to achieve personal and economic independence. Our comprehensive programs and services will help you to develop the self confidence, training, experience, and assistance in securing vital services to become job ready and employable in today's competitive labor market.
You are the primary individual responsible for developing and directing your own individualized employment plan with the assistance and support of your Employment Specialist and other members of your services team. Goodwill's Employment Specialists have education, experience, and training in working both with individuals with disabilities, other barriers to employment, and with employers in the areas of job training, assistance securing employment, job-site training, and job support. Goodwill is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in the areas of job development, job-site training, and job support. Goodwill does not currently maintain a waiting list for any of its programs and services.
Jobs Plus
Jobs Plus provides "hands on" long-term supported employment to help you find and keep a job. Our Employment Specialist will help you identify your needs, develop an employment plan, and develop a career path, starting with a job that fits you and your skill areas. Once employed, we provide job-site training and long-term job support. Employment opportunities can be here at Goodwill or with other businesses in the community.
You may be eligible for a referral for these services through the Department of Economic Security. Individuals who have a documented disability and require long-term job support are provided services that are paid by the funding source. In order to receive services you must have a documented disability, require long-term job support, and be referred by the Department of Economic Security (DES) Rehabilitation Services Administration or Division of Developmental Disabilities.
These services are paid for by the funding source and are available at our Flagstaff East, Flagstaff West, Sedona, and Cottonwood Good Neighbor Centers. List of Goodwill Good Neighbor Centers.
Goodwill Works!
Goodwill Works is an employee development service designed to assist you in returning to work. If you have been away from the job market or are preparing to enter the workforce for the first time, Goodwill Works may be for you.
Our Employment Specialist will help you identify your needs and develop a plan that will help you reach your goal. Your plan will help you determine the type of job that best fits your skills and what you like to do best. We will teach you how to develop a strong resume, fill out applications, find job openings and succeed in interviews. Most important, you will develop the work behaviors and attitude to be successful on the job and earn a paycheck while working right here at Goodwill or another community employer. Once you have completed training, your Employment Specialist will help you to find the job that is right for you and provide short-term job support to you and/or your employer.

The Job Connection®, One Stop Career Resource Center
The Job Connection®, Goodwill's One Stop Career Resource Center, provides General Equivalent Diploma (GED) preparation either at Goodwill or in your own home, through distance learning. We help you access financial assistance to pay for the GED examination and assistance applying for college financial aid. We can help you determine what career path fits your interests and skills and find jobs that are a good fit for you. We can teach you how to conduct a job search, develop a resume, fill out applications, succeed in interviews, and keep, and even advance in, your job.
At The Job Connection® you have access to a computer, current electronic job bank listings, a local job board with available openings, the Internet, a voice mail box, an e-mail account, copier, telephones, faxes, paper, postage and vouchers for clothing necessary to find and keep a job. We will provide the information and the assistance you need to use the One Stop services which are available to you. Goodwill funds these services which are available at our Flagstaff East Good Neighbor Center.
If you have a disability and receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Disability Insurance (SSI), we can assist you with benefits planning and management through our partnership with New Horizons Independent Living Center and their Social Security certified Work Incentive Coordinator. We can help whether you are considering entering or re-entering the workforce. We can assist you if you are currently working, but are concerned about the impact of work on your earnings or benefits. We can also assist you in applying for specific benefits for which you may be eligible.
If you have a disability and are a "ticket holder" under the Social Security Administration "Ticket To Work" program, we can assist you, in our capacity as an Employment Network (EN) to prepare for, find and keep a job. Goodwill funds these services which are available at the Flagstaff East Good Neighbor Center.
The Job Connection®
The Job Connection® provides you “hands on” assistance in finding and keeping a job by helping you determine what type of job best fits your interests, skills, and abilities. You will learn how to prepare a strong resume, write cover letters, complete employment applications, identify employment openings and succeed in interviews. Once employed, we will provide short-term job support to you and/or your employer to help you to be successful on the job.
Our Employment Specialist will work with you to identify your needs, develop an employment plan, and work with you every step of the way so that you are successful in reaching your goal.

Good Samaritan Connection
Good Samaritan Connection can provide you and members of your immediate family emergency assistance through access to showers, toiletry items, essential clothing and household goods, sack lunches, hot coffee and a place to experience hospitality and get out of the weather for awhile. Showers, toiletry items, sack lunches, and coffee are provided on a walk-in basis to those who are homeless or are otherwise in need of this assistance.
Vouchers for clothing and/or household goods are provided upon referral from community partners and are based upon need. Good Samaritan Connection is funded by Goodwill through the sale of donated goods, through the generous support of Walmart who provide financial assistance to purchase toiletry items, and by the Flagstaff Family Food Center that provides sack lunches.
There are no fees for these services. Showers, toiletry items, sack lunches, and coffee are provided at the Flagstaff East Good Neighbor Center only. Vouchers for clothing and essential household goods are provided at all Good Neighbor Centers.
Good Neighbor Connection
Good Neighbor Connection links you to vital services and resources here at Goodwill and/or with community partners. Our Help Desk and One Stop Career Resource Center will help you identify your needs and connect you to a resource which can help you. Anyone walking in the door is eligible for this service. There are no fees for these services with funding provided by Goodwill through the sale of donated goods. This service is provided at the Flagstaff East Good Neighbor Center only.
